Leftover Delhi photos

So I hadn't had a chance to upload some residual Delhi photos.
This is the Lotus Temple. It's an awesome place. These are random shots of structure. Last photo is of Kumar, my driver and guide for Delhi and Agra trip. He was a very nice man and definitely looked out for me during my trip. He had two volumes of scrapbooks of people he'd guided/driven over the years. I was astounded by how many people he had interacted with and had just a great time with him during their vacations. He definitely made my Agra/Delhi trip a total success. Thanks Kumar!

Road back to Dehli and some sightseeing

So I leave Agra in awe of the Taj Mahal and eagerly await Delhi. The first photo is the view of the Taj Mahal from my room. Along the way we see some sights, not the least of which was a camel! Kumar was able to show me Delhi's Parliament buildings, Gateway of India arch, parks, Tomb and sight that inspired Agra's Taj Mahal. At end a boy who was with his family kept asking me to take his photo. I looked to his parents for the ok, and they said it was fine to humour him. That was my first afternoon in Delhi. As I write this blog I am in the Delhi airport waiting for my flight. I mixed up my flight time and had a couple hours to pass. It is so great having free wi-fi.

Fatehpur Sikri--Ghost city

City built by King Akbar as his ideal capital. Bursting to life in 1571 only to be abandoned 14 years later when he was called to the Northwest frontier. His whole court joined him and they never returned.
